1. Black Friday Shipping Policy
During the Black Friday period, we experience a significant increase in order volume, which may result in delays in both receiving and dispatching stock. Items marked as “available to order” may take 4-5 days to be processed and shipped. We aim to fulfill all orders as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience during this busy time.
2. General Shipping Information
When you place an order through our online store, a member of the Dogs, Cats & Friends team will promptly confirm stock availability either from our retail outlet or the relevant supplier. If there are any changes to your order, we will notify you immediately. Our commitment is to “Keep the customer informed at all times and deliver their goods quickly.”
- Payment Methods: We accept payments via Yoco and offer COD (cash on delivery) for delivery or in-store pickup.
- Order Processing: Orders are processed as soon as payment is cleared through our payment providers.
3. In-Store Collection
If your items are in stock at our Port Elizabeth store, you can collect them immediately after receiving an email confirmation that your order is ready for pickup. If the stock needs to be sourced from our warehouse, delivery times will vary, and we will keep you informed.
- Contact Before Collection: Please wait for our “Ready for Collection” email before coming to the store. The collection is available during store hours at Dogs, Cats & Friends, 205 Main Road, Walmer, Port Elizabeth. Have your order number ready and proceed to the pick-up area near the back entrance of the complex.
4. Shipping via Door-to-Door Courier
Our Door-to-Door courier service is fast and reliable, delivering to any destination in South Africa. Shipping charges can be reviewed on our Online Store.
Delivery Times:
- In-Stock Items: Delivered within 3-4 working days.
- Same-Day Delivery: Available Monday-Friday for clients in PE, for orders placed before 11 AM. No weekend deliveries due to high store activity.
Items Marked as “Available to Order”: Will be delivered within 3-8 working days.
Mixed Delivery Dates: If items with different delivery dates are ordered together, the latest delivery date will apply unless otherwise specified.
5. Shipping Costs
- Free Shipping: Available on selected products and orders over the qualifying amount, unless otherwise stated.
- Orders Over 20kg: Will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
- Pudo: After receiving a notification that your package has arrived at a Pudo locker, you have 48 hours to pick it up. If not collected, it will be sent to the nearest Pudo Kiosk/Depot. Resending the package to a locker or alternative address incurs additional costs.
- Pargo: When a parcel is ready for collection, you will receive a notification with a unique Pargo code. You or a third party (with the necessary documentation) must present this code to collect the parcel. If the parcel is not collected within 8 days, it may be returned or destroyed by Pargo.
6. Nationwide Shipping
Dogs, Cats & Friends uses live shipping rates to offer the best possible prices for orders up to R1500.
Orders Over R1500: Qualify for FREE nationwide shipping (T&Cs apply). For orders over 20kg or excessive volume, we will contact you with shipping costs.
Local Shipping in Port Elizabeth:
- Orders over R350 within a 15km radius of the shop: FREE Shipping.
- Orders within an 15km radius and up to R350: delivery fee.
- Orders within an 15-20km radius over R350: R60 flat-rate delivery fee.
- Orders over 20km radius: Select Courier Guy rates.
Delivery Schedule: Deliveries are made on weekdays only, not on weekends. Tracking information will be provided after your order has shipped.
7. Additional Fees and Conditions
- Outlying and Remote Areas: Additional delivery fees apply, calculated manually on a case-by-case basis. These orders are subject to final approval.
- Large/Overweight Items: Delivery for these items will be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
- National Main Center Fees: Calculated at checkout by our live courier system.
- Regional, Remote, and Outlying Area Fees: Also calculated at checkout by our live courier system.
